What We Do

"The Society is dedicated to building a society based on equity and mutual respect amongst diverse groups. We encourage the full participation of people of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds."

Provides direct services to newcomers to Canada, as well as promotion of the federal, provincial and civil multiculturalism policies.

    Community Development and Outreach
  • Involvement in neighborhood inter-agency meetings to share information, and plan services and programs
  • Volunteer access - in partnership with Volunteer Burnaby - a project to address barriers to successful volunteering by newcomers
  • Young Parents Recreational Program - provides support and recreation for parents
  • Create partnership and work in collaboration with the Immigrant Services Advisory Committee
  • Aware of poverty issues in Burnaby and participation in Poverty Forum
  • Co-sponsored the forum addressing the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Youth in Burnaby and New Westminster
